SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Chase Field shined on Saturday night as 48,424 country music fans reveled during the 5-hour Kenny Chesney “Trip Around the Sun” Tour that featured a star-studded line-up of country chart-toppers & award winners with Kenny Chesney, Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion and Brandon Lay.
Country newcomer Brandon Lay was in the lead-off spot taking the stage positioned in center field at 5pm. Next-up was the 5-member 2018 ACM Vocal Group of the Year winner, Old Dominion, followed by the owner of nine (9) #1 Hits on Country Music charts, Thomas Rhett, and, in the obvious clean-up spot, 4-time ACM & CMA Entertainer of the Year, Kenny Chesney, transformed Chase Field into an island getaway for his No Shoes Nation with a non-stop, 2-hour set that included duets with each of the aforementioned “Trip Around the Sun” Tour Artists.
The Kenny Chesney “Trip Around the Sun” Tour will play 40-shows, with Chase Field being the 2nd of only three baseball stadiums (including Miller Park & Busch Stadium) on the schedule.
