SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA – On Saturday, August 2nd, Michigan Stadium played host to the Guinness International Champions Cup soccer match between Manchester United & Real Madrid that included a headliner Halftime concert by rock band,The Fray.
Michigan Stadium, a/k/a The Big House, lived up to its name, as a record crowd of 109,318 fans participated in the largest attended soccer match on United States soil. Manchester United defeated Real Madrid 3-1.
This historic event called on Select Artists Associates (SAA) to produce the Halftime performance on a newly sodded field at Michigan Stadium. Grammy nominated, and Billboard Music Award winning band, The Fray, performed two of their hit songs, “Love Don’t Die” and “Heartbreak” before this record breaking U.S. soccer and FOX television audience.
SAA’s patented field-friendly roll-on stages & audio systems, produced their second soccer-related concert in as many weeks. During the previous weekend, (July 26, 2014), Carrie Underwood performed a post-game concert following the Fulham FC and DC United match at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida.
